Maine Chinese Conference

Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of ‘Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts‘ will be an exhibitor at the Maine Chinese Conference in Bangor, Maine on October 27, 2017. She will meet educators and other professionals from language learning communities all along the East Coast. She will share ideas for integrating Chinese crafts with Mandarin learning in the classroom, have books for sale. and offer some free materials.

Boston Chinatown Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival

This huge Chinese Lantern street festival in the heart of Boston Chinatown features Mid-Autumn Moon Festival  performances, food and cultural activities for all ages! If you have never visited Boston’s historic Chinatown, this is a great opportunity.

Chinese Crafts- Chebeague Island Library

Join us for hands-on crafts and fun with Jennifer DeCristoforo, author and publisher of Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts; Over 100 Projects and Ideas Celebrating Chinese Culture. This is a FREE event for all ages and all supplies will be provided. Drop in or stay for a while! The Chebeague Island Library is hosting this event.

Boston Chinese New Year Cultural Village

Come join the fun on 2/12/17 in New England’s hub of Chinese culture, Boston Chinatown! Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts will be leading the ‘Year of the Rooster’ crafts at the Boston Chinatown Main Street  Lunar New Year Cultural Village in the heart of Chinatown. Excitement, great food, and lively performances won’t be hard to find!

CAFAM Chinese New Year Celebration

Jennifer DeCristoforo will be arranging and offering hands-on crafts for this wonderful Chinese New Year celebration in Westbrook, Maine. We will be rolling out great make-and-take projects for Year of the Rooster and ‘Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts’ will be on sale for a special event discount.

There will also be performances, food and cultural presentations and exhibitions.

New England 2016 National Lion Dance Competition

Boston Chinatown is the host location for this exciting National Lion Dance Competition. I’m excited to be invited to bring Lucky Bamboo Crafts to the event and make crafts with the kids during the all-day competitions. It is open to the public and a great opportunity to immerse yourself in Chinese culture!

Maine Chinese Conference

Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of ‘Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts‘ will be a presenter at the Maine Chinese Conference in Bangor, Maine on October 28, 2016. She will address educators and other professionals from language learning communities all along the East Coast. She will share ideas for integrating Chinese crafts with Mandarin learning in the classroom in her workshop: Teaching Culture and Language through Making Chinese Crafts.

CAFAM Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

Join Jennifer DeCristoforo and Lucky Bamboo Crafts for free activities at the CAFAM Mid-Autumn Moon Festival in Portland, Maine on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, 4:30 – 7 pm, Woodfords Congregational Church, Portland, Maine. This is a wonderful gathering with authentic Chinese potluck food and a program of performances celebrating the moon.

Dragon Boat & Asian Festival, Hartford CT

The Dragon Boat & Asian Festival in Hartford CT has invited Jennifer DeCristoforo back Saturday August 20th, 2016 to bring Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts to this wonderful Asian culture event. She will offer hands-on children’s Chinese craft activities and be signing books. Come to Hartford and enjoy all the activities, performances, food and exciting dragon boat races. It is held in a beautiful city park along the river and a perfect family event for a warm summer’s day! This day is not to be missed!
