Chinese crafts and culture from will be offered by Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of ‘Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts’ at this free event in beautiful rural Maine at the Newport Cultural Center. Kids of all ages are welcome to attend.
Join us for hands-on crafts and fun with Jennifer DeCristoforo, author and publisher of Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts; Over 100 Projects and Ideas Celebrating Chinese Culture. This is a FREE event for all ages and all supplies will be provided. Drop in or stay for a while! The Chebeague Island Library is hosting this event.
Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts is collaborating with Merrill Memorial Library and their summer reading program, “Universe of Stories”. We will learn about the ancient Chinese history of shadow puppets. Kids will design and make puppets, build a stage, and perform a traditional Chinese legend. This is a two-session program that requires registration.

The event includes a performance by Boston’s Chinese Folk Art Workshop and a Chinese Cultural Village with lots of exhibits and activities! We hope to see you there!
Join the Chinese & American Friendship Association of Maine for the wonderful annual celebration of the moon in Southern Maine. This will be an in-person, outdoor event at beautiful Fort Williams overlooking the Portland Headlight.
Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts will offer free Chinese make-and-take crafts and fun for kids and her book will be available.
This free event is open to the public and potluck contributions are encouraged.
