Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus, MA is the Chinatown Main Street host location for this exciting National Lion Dance Competition. I’m excited to be invited to bring Lucky Bamboo Crafts to the event and make crafts with the kids during the all-day competitions. It is open to the public and a great opportunity to immerse yourself in Chinese culture!

We will learn about the ancient Chinese history of shadow puppets. Kids will design and make puppets, build a stage, and perform a traditional Chinese legend. This is a two-session program that requires registration.

Jennifer DeCristoforo, author of Lucky Bamboo Book of Crafts will be an exhibitor at the Maine Chinese Conference in Bangor, Maine on October 25, 2019. She will meet educators and other professionals from language learning communities all along the East Coast. She will share ideas for integrating Chinese crafts with Mandarin learning in the classroom, have books for sale. and offer some free materials. This event requires registration.
